These Workshops are an opportunity to join the Weathervane staff and community for a hands on weekend of recording and mixing in a professional studio.
You can come for just a tracking or mixing day, or stay with us for the entire weekend as we make a brand new song from start to finish! Ask questions along the way and learn the processes and techniques we use for Shaking Through and every day in the studio.
To attend one of these workshops, you can purchase a day ticket or weekend pass (limited quantities available) or sign up now for an annual Event Access Membership that includes entrance to this and all other workshops, studio concerts, wrap parties, and any other Weathervane Music events for the next 12 months.
Jackson Craig, a 17 year old musician and singer from Philadelphia, has been playing guitar, writing songs and performing locally since he was 9. In 2013, Jackson and some friends formed the band Skyline and in 2015 released an EP, Sweet Symmetry, which gained radio airplay in Philadelphia on WXPN and G-town radio. Skyline played throughout the city for several years, including notable venues such as WXPN's World Cafe Live and the TLA.
In 2017, Jackson began writing and recording his own solo acoustic work. This past summer, he performed at several music festivals, including Dara's Defense 9th Annual FUC Music Festival , hosted by Wesley Stace, and World Cafe Live's Summer Love Fest. Jackson's style can be best described as indie acoustic, and his influences include Ben Gibbard, Sufjan Stevens, Jack Johnson and Jose Gonzalez. His upcoming album, The Scenic Route, will be released in fall 2017.
